We heard that Bloomington might get up to ten inches of snow. But the inches continued to drop. Finally, we were fortunate to get a few inches of snow. But then it was too cold to go out to play. I wanted to yet mum has strict rules about below zero tempatures. Even Hoover can't stay out for long. Both of us long for freedom and snow.
We were lucky though. The temperature was above zero today. The whole family got to go out and enjoy the snow when we went on a walk. That includes Nikita as well. She even came to the door her face telling you, 'Don't leave me behind'. So, we took her along. She even kept up with the other dogs. All the dogs soaked it up. After the walk, Nikita was more than happy to go inside. She is almost 14 after all.
And this week's selected dog for the blog is Virginia, a sweet husky lab mix. She is about six years old and a touch plump. She may need to loose some weight. Virginia likes other dogs and cats. She enjoys others company, such as adults and kids. Virginia is a lucky dog as well. She was taken to a shelter in Kentucky during the holidays. She would have been euthanized, yet Northern Lights found her and gave her another chance. So, help Virginia or other dogs this year.
