Holiday Fun

I hope everyone had a happy holiday season and New Year's. I know the dogs and I certaintly had a good season. The dogs received some good gifts when Christmas came along. Hoover got a stuffed Bumble and Lizzie received a small puppy. Lizzie wasn't that excited yet Hoover was happy to take the puppy. They all got a bone and cookies and that, for the dogs, was the highlight of the day.

And the "Cozy Corner" fort had an extension put up so mum could join me in it. Yet it was threatened. I was going to sleep in the fort when Nikita came in with Lizzie. Lizzie leaped onto the the bed and settled down. Nikita stood by the entrance. Then "Hurricane Hoover" arrived. He lumbered in and threatened to cause destruction. Yet he suprisingly left, causing no harm. So we slept safely that night in a safe fort. For now at least.

And New Year's came letting us all have a good time. Hoover has a nice resolution, to give 100 kisses. It sounds better than it feels. Hoover loves holidays, New Year's especially. He got to have a morning walk at Lake Griffey with the family too. Well, Nikita stayed with us for a bit. She is a little old and waited for us in the truck.
We followed a creek which met another side creek. The others decided to cross it. I was the sensible one. When mum and Lizzie crossed, I could hear the ice crack. When dad and Hoover crossed farther down, they fell through the ice. I should mention the water only came up to about my dad's ankle. It was good fun. There we met a dead end, which was full of mud. When we returned to the car, our boots were coated in mud. But we had a blast. The dogs seemed to enjoy it too. They were tired sled dogs the rest of the day.
I still have two more days left on my break, with a few more activities planned so stay tuned for more!
