As I said on my last post, I'd talk about Comic Book Camp. Well, this is what happened. We went to the school were the camp was. When we looked for the classroom that hosted the camp we couldn't find it. So, we went to the office and asked. Guess what? THE CAMP WAS CANCELLED!!!
Can you believe it?! I was very, and I mean very, disappointed. It was cancelled because there weren't enough kids. At least we got our refund back. Good thing there's a second week of Comic Book camp, if enough kids sign up. I had an afternoon camp, Yeah!
That other camp was called the Shadow. The Shadow was an old radio murder mystery show if you didn't know. In that camp we would listen or watch the Shadow. We even wrote our own mysteries and in my opinion, was a bunch of fun. But I have more to talk about. And that includes the Animal Shelter Tour!
Remember when I talked about in another post that I placed in the essay contest? Well, we finally got our prize - a tour of the animal shelter. We got to see all the cat colonies, dog kennels and stray dog kennels. In the stray kennels we met Aspen, the Husky/Malamute mix. He was all white and had that classic Malamute howl not like Hoover's yowl. I hope Aspen gets adopted soon. He's a good dog. Really, I hope every animal is adopted.
But there is sad news as well. A rare brain tumor has claimed a life. Peyton, a boy I'm related to died this week. He was very young and I'm very sad along with my family. He was a good boy and had a nice sense of humor. He loved Spider-man.
I would like to end this blog with a small dog story. Nikita was in a playful mood today. But since she hardly plays, the others had no idea at what to do. Lizzie stepped up to play when Nikita barked and playbowed, thus, scaring Lizzie. This carried on for a while until Nikita became her old self and took a nap.
If you want to hear about a camp that certainly should have enough kids, stay tuned!
P.S. And if you like soccer as well, you can figure out what I'm doing.
