The reason I haven't been blogging is because my teacher assigned me this huge project about creating a settlement and I did a PowerPoint. I thought it would be quick. But really it took me a long time. But I got it done. Now it is time for the real story.
When I got to school I had my flash drive, a portrait, a map, a collage, and a picture. That was what I created for my visuals. It was Monday, the day we had to turn in our work. Six people had already signed up. And I had decided to wait until Tuesday. But then my teacher asked me to present. This was my response: "Uhhhh.... um....(cough)." She got the idea I didn't want to do it. Though later on one of the presenters said that they couldn't do it. So I was asked again and this time I accepted.
Later on in math I was starting to get nervous. I kept on thinking about all of the kids looking at me and if I did something wrong they might laugh or get bored. The time came and the music played (literally, there was music in my PowerPoint). I spoke through each slide and soon enough it was all over. I had felt nervous while I was presenting but after I felt (What do you think I will say?) Post your answer on the comments and then read on to see if you the got the right answer. A: Nervous B: Relieved C: Happy to be done D: All of the above)
Nervous, relived, and happy to be done. I did really enjoy doing the settlement project. The video of my PowerPoint didn't turn out very well because my mom's computer has a virus and she had to use my dad's old computer with old software. Plus, she wanted to watch the IU game.
.
Now for Lizzie. She is said to be 11 years old. I don't think so. My proof: She is playing with toys and chasing Hoover. She steals Hoover's toys and lays with them. But one particular toy is the cow that goes moo! Hoover never really liked it. In fact, Hoover would run away! We were experimenting with toys when we found the cow and made it go moo! Lizzie stared at him for a second then took the cow from Mom and started chewing it and waving the toy in the air. And every time that cow went moo, she would attack him like a young pup. She even now hides that poor cow by her food bowl. So, do you think she is 11?
I am sure that you felt like the rest of your classmates - nervous and glad to have it behind you! I know you did a great job on it. I agree with you on Lizzie's age. I remember when I talked to Julie about her, I said she sure didn't seem like she was 11. She is full of life and fun. Her former owner said she didn't like toys - probably never had the chance to play with them, especially a mooing cow! Mishka loves her mooing cow like that. Her favorite "noisy toy" is the screaming monkey, I think she just like to torment me with that. :) Hope your testing week is going well - I will be glad when it is over. Thanks for you post - I love reading them and hearing about how Lizzie is doing. I no longer worry about her since I know she is in your loving and caring home. Keep up the great work. - Chris
ReplyDeleteWow, look at all the pictures in your PowerPoint! ~_^
ReplyDeleteLizzie is like many of us - only as old as she lets herself feel.

Let's see if I can post a comment this time. Ian, great job on the blog.
ReplyDeleteI guess Angel is a kindred soul. She is about the same age and loves her toys!

You deserve a high five, maybe ten! Lucky Lizzie with a mooing cow!
