School project plus my dogs

Today is going to be a short blog. The main reason is because I have a project. I won't be able to blog the rest of the week. My teacher assigned the class a project to write and make a visual product of a settlement in Indiana. Mine is in southern Indiana along the Ohio River. It is due March 5. So far my writing piece is going pretty well. But I still need to work on a map of my settlement. We're learning the culture of settlers in Indiana and their history. I'll have to give a presentation. When I'm done though, I will post my PowerPoint on my blog.
Also I have I-STEP this week. So I will need to get a good night sleep for it. If you don't know what I-STEP is, it is a test that you take in grades 3rd through 12th grade. I need to pass it to go on to the next grade. You take math, english/language arts, and science. I hope I get a good breakfast and good scores.
A quick update on Lizzie. Lizzie is becoming my companion, sleeping on my floor. She talks a lot to Hoover and she is starting to play with toys. Instead of 11, I think she is five or six. She almost scared our cat to death. This just happened, Lizzie thinks she is a parrot. She perched on dad's shoulder. She also jumped on my stomach! Good thing she doesn't weigh much.
I'd like to thank everyone for reading my blog and thanks for commenting. I really appreciate it. Because this blog is about sled dogs, here is a video we found from a few years ago of Hoover and Nikita playing together in the snow. Hoover tries to pull Nikita but she is too heavy.

  1. Good Luck on your tests - I know how stressful they can be. We start our tests next week as well. I like testing week as I get to teach enrichment while the students are testing in other classes. I do a unit on the Iditarod and get to take one of my huskies to school for the week - how cool is that! Loved your blog and seeing how Lizzie is doing. Keep up the good work and good luck on your project and tests.
