Another Visit to Bradford Woods
Sunday will be an amazing day. I'm going to Bradford Woods! I loved it the first time. Mum will be in charge of informing me about the dogs. I'll be hiking, swimming and having campfires in the forest. And the delicious bacon. The bacon, oh how I love it! So, I won't be able to blog for awhile.
I have one sled dog story to tell before my big adventure. I caught Lizzie red-pawed. She was lying down in the garden which Mum does not enjoy. This time she flattened some flowers. I took a photo and exposed her as the garden hating dog she is. Well, she might not like gardens, certainly not mum's gardens. That's why I love her, she keeps things exciting. I hope you have a great week.

Birthdays and More
We also got to celebrate two special people. Hoover and Dad. Hoover is now 6. Dad is... But they both had a birthday. That's all that matters. Hoover got a monkey toy and an elephant toy for his B-day. I would say he liked them. The monkey didn't last long. It lost its arm in one day. We should have gotten Hoover the octopus, he would have had more arms and legs to rip off. Dad, got a donut. And an amazing amount of world cup shirts. He also received a Neil Diamond CD and Godzilla soundtrack (which I listened to all night). The Godzilla CD is actually mine, thank you Lora.
The dogs had a little bit of ice cream and partied all night. I just stayed in my room and listened to my Godzilla 2014 soundtrack. The girls have relaxed just like me.
My last game of soccer as a U-11 is on Saturday so I'll blog about that. I've had a few stumble, trips and falls tonight. Hope I survive to play on Saturday. I had to apologize to Lizzie for breaking one of my falls. Stay tuned for more exciting, funny, and weird dog tales.

Go Go Godzilla
Friday was possibly one of my most favorite days. On Friday, I saw the new Godzilla movie in 3D with friends Lora and Justin. Out of ten, I give Godzilla a twenty. I just liked the movie. I won't give any spoilers in case you want to see the movie. But if you don't, I'd love to tell you about it. I've been a Godzilla fan since I was very young. I have watched all the Godzilla movies I can and it's a dream come true to see the 2014 reboot. I am satisfied. I've even received and bought Godzilla books and toys. I am a very devoted fan. We even went for a post movie discussion with Lora and Justin at Yogi's. Lora gave me my first 2014 Godzilla! The next day Cutters had a soccer tournament in Terre Haute. It was the State Cup. We were playing for the state finals. If we won three games we moved on. Our first game was a loss against a Franklin township team. We lost 7-4 but made a good comeback. Our next game we won 10-1 to a Westfield team. The entire team did great, we were on fire. Almost everyone scored. I scored two goals. I stayed with the team at a hotel and had great fun. My parents went home and found an unpleasant surprise. One of the dogs had diarrhea. It was Lizzie or Hoover because the poop was downstairs and Nikita doesn't do stairs. When mum went downstairs, Hoover was following her until she yelled out, "Oh no!" Then Hoover turned around and ran upstairs. Lizzie stopped at the top of the stairs. So while I was having fun, mum and dad were cleaning doggie doo.
On Sunday we played again to make it to the next round. Unfortunately, we lost 6-4 after two unlucky goals. We made another good come back though. We were out of the tournament.
Sunday afternoon I finished up my inquiry project. I did mine on stop motion. I chose stop motion because I've made my own stop motion shorts and I enjoy Wallace and Gromit. I also like cheese and crackers, just like Wallace. I presented today and was very happy with my score. It was a busy weekend and I worked really hard but it was a fantastic weekend. I hope you have a fantastic week.

A Very Busy Weekend
My inquiry topic is about stop motion. I chose stop motion because I make stop motion shorts with Lego's and I would like to learn more about the history of stop motion. Did you know "King Kong" featured stop motion? Stay tuned for more fun facts.
A week ago on Sunday, I played a soccer game against Zionsville. We lost 4 to 5 but almost tied. We made a great comeback. I was able to score one goal. We have many games left but it was our last home game.
This past weekend Cutters played in the Red Lion Tournament in Indy. I had to wake up at 5:30. The game started very early. The dogs were all asleep and didn't want to wake up. I suppose our dogs are anti-morning.
Our first game we lost after two unlucky goals. It was 4 to 2. After the game, we all went and had a second breakfast.
Then we had 7 hours until our next game. So, I went to a Northern Lights Sled Dog kennel in Anderson. We walked four great dogs. The first dog we walked was Kia. She was a hunter that startled two rabbits and almost caught one. Then we walked Lucien. He was energetic and smart. He enjoyed picking dandelions with me. After our walk, Lucien relaxed under the picnic table.
Next was Kadence. She was as thin as Lizzie but faster and stronger. Dad had to hold her. She was crazy! We had Zack as our last dog. He was like Kadence but more controlled and knew his commands. I enjoyed running with him. Please check out the Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue web site. While we were at the kennel, we got to see Alue! He was one of our former foster dogs. He was getting a pedicure.
We then played another game at 4:45, which we won so we could still compete in the championship. We scored the winning goal late in the game. The next game on Sunday was another early start, 9:15. We did get to sleep an extra hour. The game was a tie so we were out of the competition. I had fun though and we played an aggressive game.
I decided to go to ODP in the afternoon to train. Although I was ready to rest, I practiced and played well. By the end I was ready to just sleep. And that ended my weekend. I had a great time.
And the kindness award goes to the woman who let out our dogs and played with them or else we would have no house, thank you Darra. She's also brave. She could withstand Hoover's kisses. That is a feat to be honored!

Easter Fun
Happy a couple days after Easter everyone! I hope everyone had a great week. I know I did. My weekend was filled with enjoyable events.
The first event was a soccer double header. Cutters played Zionsville and then Fishers. We lost to Zionsville 3 to 2. I was happy I scored a goal. The next game everyone played great. We won 3 to 1. I was fortunate to score two goals.
We also played a game on Tuesday. It was unfortunate. We lost 5 to 1. We worked hard as a team. I tried my best by using speed. I ran up the field many times with the ball and tried to cross the ball or shoot. However, by this time, I was very tired. But I was able to at least grow more comfortable with my moves.
Then there was Easter. Our dogs don't really enjoy hunting eggs. Although they love to eat them. I like both of the ideas. But I like hiding them even more. I especially love it when mum looks for eggs and I get to snicker at her.
We also had to get pictures of the dogs with their bunny ears. Hoover probably liked his the most. I could see Nikita glaring at us. Lizzie could not tolerate them at all. I suppose I'd be the same. It would be hard not to lose some dignity doing this.

On Thursday I'll be helping my school with our play, The Lorax, an adaption of a Dr. Seuss classic picture book. I'll be helping out as an instrumentalist. I'm excited to do this play for the second time.
This week's kindness award goes out to the people who rescued a dog who looks like a husky named Miley from a junkyard. They were with the Hope for Paws organization. Here is her story: Miley. Don't miss the video. She was treated and got much better, becoming friends with a dog named Frankie. I thank all people who help animals in need. Tuesday, April 15, 2014
Down Go the Daffodils
The soccer game didn't go so well for Cutters. We lost 5 to 1 against Westside. However, this is an improvement. At our last two games last fall against Westside, Cutters lost one game 9 to 0. I was fortunate to score our goal. I'm glad about that. I honestly didn't expect I'd score. But I'm happy I did.
Lizzie had fun. She also has a new nickname, DD, the Daffodil Destroyer. She was digging a hole one day. Where you may ask? Right where a cluster of daffodils were rooted. They now lay piled on each other. RIP daffodils. Mum was not too pleased with the destruction of her flowers but Lizzie was.
I also was able to read to the cats. I brought in my book, Redwall, and I read to two cats in particular. They were Jazzcat and one of his friends, Dink. Both cats are overweight. Jazzcat however, is the largest cat ever to be in the shelter. Mum estimates Jazzcat weighs close to 20 pounds. She's happy though, and that's all that matters. I think she also likes my book.
This week's kindness award goes to the animal shelter's reading program. This way, I can read my books and help cats become more comfortable with their future family members. Thank you animal shelter.
I shall also talk about a great dog named Cooper! He currently lives at the animal shelter with his pal Puggy Sue. Cooper is a beagle and maybe basset hound mix. He likes to play with other dogs and wants to be loved. He enjoyed the outdoors and sitting on our laps. He'd be a perfect edition to the family. Every animal is.

Fun in the Spring
It was a tiring weekend yet it was an excellent one. I was able to do many things as were the dogs.
The first event of my weekend was that I was able to go to an ODP(Olympic Development Program) soccer friendly with Illinois and Kentucky. Some of the Illinois kids were a head taller than me! Either I'm short, or they're tall, extremely tall! In fact, some of the kids were taller than all of us! A few of those kids even had deep voices. Great news! I was on television, well, in the background. Dad, was also on television staring off into space. Channel 8 was there filming the new park. I enjoyed the friendly and was able to work on my own skills.
The next day I went to another ODP practice. While I was gone, the dogs romped outside. They ran around, marked their territory, and walked straight through the flower garden. The weather was just right for this. Although, mum didn't like the stroll through the garden. I know though, they all enjoyed their time.
Soon, the new Godzilla movie will arrive. That will be a great day. I'm excited to see the big dinosaur return to stomp Tokyo(although he'll be in San Francisco). I'll go with one of my mum's coworkers, another Godzilla fan. It's sure to be a blast!
I'm excited for the Cutters soccer season to start. We have our first home game on Sunday. I hope the rain stays away. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm featuring a sled dog today named Scooby, also known as Cooper. He's nine years old and has been chained up all his life. He is looking for a home and still has plenty of life like Lizzie. He's a great dog. Check out Scooby
I shall not give out a kindness award this week but I have a chance to be kind. I may be able to read to cats at our animal shelter. I have some good books in mind. You could suggest some books for me to read to cats. I'm thinking about the Hobbit.I'm excited for the Cutters soccer season to start. We have our first home game on Sunday.
